The Irish Chapter of Eurographics, the European association for Computer Graphics, was formally established in November 2001.

To become a member of the Irish Chapter, all you need to be is a member of Eurographics living in the Republic of Ireland. Membership details and procedures for joining are available on the Eurographics Website.

2024

Trinity College Dublin hosted the ACM Symposium on Applied Perception (ACM SAP) 2024. the conference chairs were Rachel McDonnell and Lauren Buck. More info: https://sap.acm.org/2024/

2023

Trinity College Dublin hosted ICAT-EGVE (the joint International Conference and Artificial Reality and Telexistence & Eurographics Symposium on Virtual Environments). 2016

Trinity College Dublin hosted three symposia of significance to the EG community: High Performance Graphics (HPG 2016), Eurographics Symposium on Rendering (EGSR 2016) and the Eurographics Workshop on Material Appearance Modeling (MAM 2016). The local organizer in each case was Michael Manzke of the Graphics Vision and Visualization Group at TCD.

2013

Trinity College Dublin hosted the 6th International Conference on Motion in Games 2013. Dr. Rachel McDonnell of the Graphics Vision and Visualisation group at TCD (GV2) was the conference chair and the event was held from 7th - 9th November, 2013 at TCD. 2009

The Graphics Vision and Visualisation group (GV2) at TCD will host the Eurographics Ireland Workshop 2009. Invited speakers are Jan Kautz (UCL) and Nick Gray (havok).

Trinity College Dublin hosted VRIPhyS'07: The 4th international Workshop on Virtual Reality Interaction and Physical Simulation 2007 in cooperation with Eurographics. Details available at: http://www.vriphys.org/workshops/vriphys07

2006

The EG Ireland Workshop 2006 was hosted by the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and technology.

Carol O'Sullivan of the Graphics Vision and Visualisation group will be the Conference Chair for the Symposium on Computer Animation (SCA) 2006, which will be held in Vienna Austria, co-located with EG 2006. Details: http://isg.cs.tcd.ie/SCA06/

2005

The EG Ireland Workshop 2005 was hosted by the Graphics and Gaming group at the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown (ITB) on Friday the 3rd of June. Details available at http://egireland.org

2004

The 2004 Eurographics Workshop (Ireland) was hosted by the Multimedia Group of the Computer Science Department in University College, Cork (UCC) from the 9th to the 10th of September, 2004. Details are available here.

2003

The 4th Irish Workshop on Computer Graphics was held at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, Northern Ireland on the 29th and 30th of April, 2003. Further Details HERE.

2002

The inaugural event of the Irish Chapter was the revival of the Irish Workshop on Computer Graphics, which was held in March 2002. Further details here.

Joe Marks, director of MERL's Cambridge research lab, will speak in the Computer Science department at TCD on Friday, April 19th at 12:00. The venue will be 2nd floor Oriel House lecture room, 2.09, Trinity College (see map). For further details, please see here.

2001
